At the tail end of April, Panasonic Corporation entered into a USD 280 million dollar settlement with the SEC and DOJ to resolve FCPA offenses.

Vantage Drilling Co. disclosed in a securities filing that it reached an agreement “in principle” with the SEC to resolve potential FCPA violations stemming from a Brazilian agent’s alleged bribery of a Petrobas official.

Fifteen defendants -- including former Eni and Shell executives and Nigeria’s ex-Minister of Petroleum Dan Etete -- now stand trial in Milan in connection with a multi-million dollar bribery scheme in Nigeria. Eni and Shell are also being tried in Nigeria.
